a thought on the side

let me ride these moments
not just in lust,
nor because of a shared past,
just because you and I
are lost
in this window of time.

mind and body
on a wave,
adrift,
endlessly falling,
deeper into sin,
or whatever they would call it.

what do I care,
for names
or whatever games
they usually would play,
if all we do
is just meant to be
as it is
right now.

time slipped away
and any other concept would mean
that we are no longer
drifting at sea,
as if we would care
for that kind of
shared zeitgeist.

no,
we are just fools
drunk on anything but rules,
just us,
no booze,
and a lot of used
time -
time well spent,
