The Storm


Surrounded by sound
overloaded with yourself
you stay in the floods
with unwavering faith...

Holding a vigil
to praise bygone days
in the noise of the storm
a strange look
in your face

Trapped in your own
estranged state of mind
you stayed to bear
what´s left behind

In a moment of dignity
i close my eyes
while the ashes of the fallen
eclipse the sky

After the rain lashed down
on your sober face
the weaken sound
of the storm
gave you the grace

With no hope or glory
i saw you standing there

An incredible thought
that God wouldn´t care.
